We are happy to announce that we just published Mailster v1.5.1.
We have made several database optimizations to allow for a quicker search in the Mailster email archive - both in the Joomla search plugin and in the frontend archive search functionality.
This will show a much better search performance, especially for email archives with thousands of stored conversations.
We have just released Mailster v1.5 which brought many new features towards helping our customers to run their operations in a GDPR compliant way.
This post gives you an overview of the improvements, the full list of changes can be found in our Mailster v1.5.0 changelog entry.
Starting with this version, all the subscription actions are recorded to a log database. The idea is that this can serve the mailing list operators for audit purposes.
It stores subscription information like who joined when to which list using which email address (and IP address).
We are happy to share that we just released Mailster v1.4.1.
We have made improvements to the "Blocked Email Addresses" feature which is a global setting (cross all your mailing lists) to protect you from SPAM. Previously you could already block single email addresses and email addresses begining with a certain phrase.
In order to make this even more flexible, we now also allow more flexible wildcard addresses.
Wildcard means, that only a part of the sender address has to be match - the domain and/or the local part (the name before the @-character) is checked for.
One example is the wildcard address *mail.ru - this mean, that all email addresses ending with @mail.ru will be filtered out.
Another example is the wildcard address no-reply@* - this means that all email addresses that start with no-reply@ will not be forwarded.
You can also combine this, e.g. *@*.in or *@example.*
